The “Early Bird” gets the breakfast

The entrance to the Early Bird

For a Sunday breakfast we were looking for something local and unique. This restaurant seems to fit the bill. There are some things that seemed odd about it, but overall it was a good experience.

Upon arrival we needed to be added to the waiting list, we were informed it would be around a 30 minute wait, not bad for a Sunday. After giving the hostess our number we began to walk around the area, only to realize we never got any confirmation text. We headed back to the restaurant to let them know, and were seated within a few minutes of our return.

The Early Bird is smaller than you would expect, and there is no space unused, even the hostess stand it outside, the leave more room inside for customers.

The next oddity we encountered was the speed of service. We ordered a specialty drink before ordering food, yet the food came out before the drink. We prefer to enjoy our drinks while waiting for the food, not the other way around. Overall it was a minor issue.

The drink that did not come first.

As for the food, the portions were ample, and a good twist on your standard fare.

Overall we will return to enjoy again. This establishment earned 16 out of 20 Worms that the Early Bird can get!

Bar Beer

Wonderland Brewing

Wonderland Brewing in Broomfield, CO is a fairly unique place to enjoy an eclectic collection of beer. They do seem to haves something for everyone, we where able to find multiple beers that each of us liked. Since we both like very different styles that is not something that is easy to find.

The atmosphere also has something for everyone, it is a welcoming place that has something to do for the whole family, especially during the summer. They have a large outdoor area that includes a mini-golf course and other activities. On the inside there is a pinball arcade with over a dozen games. Speaking of games, they also have a selection of board games that you can use during your time sipping on the beer.

Some of the themed decorations.

They do have a few nods to the theme from Alice in Wonderland. Like the Cheshire Cat on the glasses and the near life size twins. The decor that they use does lean into the fantasy and lends to the fun and playful atmosphere.

Finally the service was attentive and not overbearing. The bartenders seemed to know the product and establishment, and seemed happy to talk about the products as much as needed for you to make your decision, and enjoy your beer.
